Hank has had a successful career in golf as both an instructor and a player. In 1976, he began his professional career under the tutelage of renowned golf instructors John Jacobs and Jim Hardy. Hank opened his first golf training facility in 1991, and today he owns and operates four golf training facilities in Texas. He is also well-known for having taught Tiger Woods. Similarly, his friendship with Tiger Woods brought him fame at a young age.
Apart from teaching Tiger Woods, Hank also produced a 30-episode golf instructional TV series called “Hank Haney’s Golf Lessons,” which aired in Japan.
