Matt Hasselbeck entered this earth on September 25,  1975, in Norfolk, Massachusetts. As of 2019, his age is 44 years old under the birth sign Libra. He was born to mother Marybeth Hasselbeck and father Don Hasselbeck. His father is a former New England Patriots tight end.

Career

After completing his education, he starting quarterback (a position his brother Tim would later hold with the Eagles). Green Bay Packers took Matt in the sixth round (187th overall) of the 1998 NFL Draft in the year 1998. The same year, he joined the team’s practice squad in 1998. There he acted as a backup for the starting quarterback Brett Favre.

On 2nd March 2001, he worked for former head coach Mike Holmgren and the Seattle Seahawks. He was traded to the Seattle Seahawks from Packers. After that, he went on to win the NFL Quarterback Challenge in the year 2004 and had 3,966 passing yards and 28 touchdowns.

Due to a back injury, he missed the rest of the 2008 preseason. Likewise, in the 2009 season, he missed the games due to his rin fractured. He signed a three-year deal with the Tennessee Titans around $21 million in July 2011. Similarly, he played for the Titans till March 2013. He released on 18th March 2013 by the Titans. After that, he got a contract from the Indianapolis Colts in March 2013. At that time, he signed a two-year, $7.25 million contract and recorded 12 passes and one interception.

On 26th February 2015, he again signed a contract with the Colt. It was a one-year contract to remain. Same as he was responsible for five of the Colts’ eight wins over the season. He played for the Colts for three years. Then he announced retirement from professional football in March 2016. As a part of Seattle Seahawks, he signed a one-day contract to officially retire. After that, he joined ESPN to work as an analyst for Sunday NFL Countdown. During the final week of Seattle Seahawks’ season, he won the Seahawks’ Steve Largent Award.
