His brother Patrick Wayne Swayze started his career when he appeared as a dancer for Disney on Parade. Then he played a replacement as Danny Zuko in the Broadway production of Grease, alongside John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John, Stockard Channing, and others.
After that, he obtained the role of Pvt. Sturgis in the M*A*S*H episode. Then he also acted in the television series The Renegades. After acting in the TV movie Return of the Rebels, Patrick rose to fame after appearing in the film The Outsiders. In the movie, his role was hugely appreciated.
Later he appeared in an action crime thriller film Point Break alongside Luke Bracey, Keanu Reeves, and Lori Petty in 1991. Patrick Wayne Swayze’s Illness and Death
In late December 2007, he began to suffer a burning feeling in his stomach caused by a blockage of his bile ducts. In mid-January 2008, Patrick was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. On 9th January 2009, he was hospitalized with pneumonia.
On 14th Septemeber 2009, he died with family at his side at the age of 57. His death occurred 20 months after his cancer diagnosis. His publicist confirmed to CNN that he had died of pancreatic cancer. Further, his body was cremated, and his ashes were scattered over his New Mexico ranch.
